THE PERFUME MAGAZINE LOGO & BANNER
Perfume Magazine Brand Consultant: Tim Girvin
Our logo was created by GIRVIN | Strategic Branding, based in Seattle, NYC, and Tokyo. This is a specially built font that their design team created exclusively for Perfume Magazine. It is a custom cutting, redrawn and founded on a type design originated in 1798 by Giambattista Bodoni, drawn from the archives of Firmin Didot, an exemplar of luxurious design principles for hundreds of years. GIRVIN's team built the "fume" trail, as well as composited the arrangement of the bottles as part of the branding strategy.
The Perfume Magazine Banner was designed exclusively by GIRVIN and is the property of The Perfume Magazine, LLC.

We asked some of our new friends at Esxence-The Scent of Excellence how they fared at the recent sold out event in Milan, Italy. Join us for a quick peek inside Esxence and some of the perfume companies that were represented in Milan Italy.
Prudence Paris is owned and operated by Prudence Kigour and is a French niche perfumery. I met Prudence in Milan and she shared with me her beautiful French Perfumes. She has a full line that includes 12 scents, all beautifully bottled and packaged. Prudence Parfums is sold through select boutiques perfume departments throughout Europe.
She created her first perfume after she she met Henri Moulié, one of the great French florists. She devoted herself to blending & creating essential oils to form the distinctive, but subtle perfume following the familiar path to Grasse to learn the secrets of distillation. Her first perfume was created and naturally called "Prudence".
She exhibited at La Fraganze with considerable success and where she met Dr. Silvio Levy She now has valuable clients throughout Italy, Russia and Eastern Europe. Prudence was delighted to have been invited to exhibit at Esxence 2011 in Milan.
Tell us about your beautiful fragrances and what was your vision?
My perfume - a romantic journey which started in 2005 - I am delighted to share with you that the voyage continues as you witnessed at Esxence! It is the fulfillment of a childhood dream - which began when I sat in my parents garden at a very early age - drawn to the fragrances of all the beauty flowers my wonderful Mother used to grow. In those days - when flowers had such a strong fragrance. My collection of perfumes are truely feminine, gentle & romantic. I have also created one for little little girls & another for teenagers. At their ages it is so important they realise the true value of beautiful perfume. Two fragrances for men & one for puppy dogs!
What has the experience at the Esxence event in Milan meant to you and your company?
ESXENCE - what can I say but it is the ultimate journey one can experince in the world of Niche perfume. It is truely emotional with the opportunity to forge partnerships with international clients.
If this was your first visit to Esxence, was it successful and did you attract the type of clients you had hoped for?
For Prudence Paris - our second visit - maturing the relationships with our partners whom we signed contracts with in 2011.
If you are a seasoned vendor at Esxence, what did you find different this time, other than the fact it was sold-out?
This year was brilliant - a total success! Everyone had such a wonderful stay.
I personally found it very exciting to see so many highly artistic niche perfumery brands that have emerged out of Europe and the global market. How does it feel to be a part of this venture?
One of the greatest compliments I have experinced in my life! To be chosen to exhibit at such a prestigious event.
I also found the attendees to be very passionate about fragrance at the event. Was it everything you expected it to be?
I feel unless you are truely passionate about Esxence - you cannot experience the journey. The excitment is heightend each year.
What were your favorite parts of the four-day event?
The excitment of watching clients discover the true beauty of my perfume collection. The cocktail party was very special where all the perfume houses share the evening together! Sunday, when you were with us, the President & his wife celebrating our wedding anniversary with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So special.
Where are your products sold for our European readers and any hopes of being able to purchasing them in America?
