New Fragrance Releases
Here are just a few of some of the latest releases that we love...

The Scent of Departure invites you to a scented trip around the world

What if you could carry with you the souvenir of the cities you love the most? Entrepreneur and talented perfumer Gerald Ghislain along with creative partner Magali Senequier, have come up with an original concept to offer people the unique opportunity to catch the scents of their world’s most cherished cities; The Scent of Departure.  The Scent of Departure, a new collectable line of perfumes dedicated to bring back home one’s unforgettable trip, is a 1.7 oz bottle sold for $45 which design is inspired by a luggage tag. The slender glass skyscraper features the 3 IATA code letters of the city that it represents: CDG for Paris, JFK for New York City, HKG for Hong Kong, MIL for Milan, SIN for Singapore, and so many more.

On the back of each bottle, a narrative paragraph carries the reader to an enchanted and aromatic journey, leading them to discover - or rediscover - what best a city has to offer: from the sun kissed mandarin and fresh lemon sparkle whiffs over Ayung River in Bali to the floral and fruity scents of a sun-drenched summer day in Central Park not to mention the sun fruits and white florals surrounding The Duomo.  For the launch of the collection, the brand will have 14 cities available: Paris (CDG), London (LHR), Milan (MIL), New York (NYC), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Dubai (DXB), Abu Dhabi (AUH), Doa (DOH), Singapore (SIN), Tokyo (TYO), Hong-Kong (HKG), Seoul (ICN) and Bali (DPS).

All the fragrances will be for sale in airports and main retail stores as well as on www.thescentofdeparture.com.

CB I Hate Perfume 7 BILLION HEARTS

CB I Hate Perfume newest release 7 BILLION HEARTS is blended from very fine Vanilla absolutes from Tahiti and Madagascar with a base composed of smoky resinous notes. As the perfume warms on the skin, the vanilla slowly emerges through a veil of smoke. The effect is enticing, warm and delicious.

There are now or will shortly be seven billion people on this planet. Seven billion souls hoping and dreaming. Seven billion hearts beating. One of them inevitably beats for you. As Elizabeth Bishop so rightly put it, somebody loves us all. When we feel despondent or lonely and in need of some comfort, we need to keep this in mind.

Vanilla is one of the few flavors/fragrances truly loved the world over. Its subtle sweet smokiness has come to instantly signal comfort, kindness, home, love. But the planet cannot provide enough vanilla to satisfy our hunger for it. Much is synthetic and the rest extraordinarily expensive. However, when you are fortunate enough to encounter true vanilla, you realize there can be nothing like it and you understand its value.  This perfume is in the Reinvention Series as it was inspired by the gorgeous rich sensual vanilla/amber perfumes of the early 20th century. It is being said that this is the best vanilla fragrance ever made.  Reviews and interview coming soon!

Michael Kors Suede, the designer’s new scent for spring 2012, takes inspiration from the sensuality of the tuberose flower found in his signature scent and bouquets the note with the freshness of lily of the valley and crispness of the michelia flower.  Mandarin opens the scent with an effervescent quality to awaken the senses. The heart and base are infused with creamy woods and alluring musks, providing a rich, enveloping scent that evokes the soft essence of suede itself.

Bond No. 9
Central Park West

A legendary, grand-scale address with a grand-scale front yard deserves an eau de parfum to match. Bond No. 9’s Central Park West is it.

City parks have always intrigued us at Bond No. 9. These oases of serene greenery give New Yorkers a gathering place, an escape-hatch, and a time-out from the steel and concrete that surround and enclose us. What’s more, parks are filled with botanicals, so they smell good—and smelling good with a New York accent is what Bond No. 9 is all about.  For veteran insiders, the apartment enclaves of Central Park West—the Dakota, the San Remo, the Majestic, the Century—are quintessential New York, complete with their ballroom-size marble lobbies, private elevator halls, and banquet-style dining rooms And whether in Italian Renaissance, Beaux-Arts, or Art Deco style, many of these buildings look amazingly like the movie palaces of the Twenties—which may explain the street’s longstanding attraction for colorful celebrity-residents, including Zero Mostel and John Lennon. It’s also home to the American Museum of Natural History, the New York Society for Ethical Culture, the New-York Historical Society, the acclaimed gourmet restaurant Jean Georges, and the Hayden Planetarium. This street is so grand, it has its own high-power access to the stars in the heavens.

I LOVE NY

EARTH DAY

I LOVE NEW YORK for Earth Day An easy-to-wear, easy-to-love fragrance. When it comes to being green, New York State is way ahead of the game. Bond No. 9 knew, and to celebrate our state’s environmental smarts, we’ve designed this fresh, green, metro-sophisticated eau de parfum.

Notes of: tangerine, lush orchid, orange flower water, tuberose, muguet, orris, musk, amber, oakmoss, sandlewood

  100ml — $175.00

 50ml — $105.00

I Love New York

Central Park West, the fragrance, has been designed to have the grandeur and largesse of the street itself. It starts off with a springtime wakeup call: Narcissus mingled with tangy ylang ylang and a pinch of piquant pepper. Then comes a beckoning white-petal mélange—orris, jasmine, and linden—surrounding their centerpiece, majestic gardenia. Sustaining and enriching this bouquet is an enduring base of white oak and vetiver, combined with the animal whiff of musk.

The Central Park West bottle captures the essence both of the neighborhood and the season. Against a pistachio background is a classic but oversize houndstooth check pattern (as pedigreed as the local architecture), updated here in purple—adding pizzazz. And wound around the neck is a gift—a detachable, double-row bracelet of pink beads with a big pink floral blossom (designed in-house, we are proud to say), which, like the coveted flower on last spring’s Madison Square Park, can be worn on its own as a brooch.  Suggested Retail Price: $250 for 100ml; $180 for 50ml; $180 for body silk; $130 for candle; $75 for shower gel.  Bond No. 9
